Changelog

What shipped, and when

We build in the open. Every release that changed something a customer can see is written down here, newest first.

  1. 0.11.0

Lower prices, your own AI, your own repo

Hosting costs us almost nothing, so the monthly price came down. What you pay for now is the move, the AI-ready setup and the tools around your site.

    • ImprovedStandard is now $29/month or $290/year, and Pro $59/month or $590/year. The one-time migration fee is unchanged.
    • New$20 (Standard) or $40 (Pro) of Curb AI edits a month, and unlimited edits with your own AI.
    • NewEvery site's code in a private GitHub repo. Every push gets a Curb check, and a passing push to main publishes.
  2. 0.10.2

    Curb, side by side

A comparison with Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Framer, WordPress.com and the AI builders — sourced from each vendor's own pages.

    • New/compare: price, who makes changes, what the AI does, export and agent access, side by side, with sources and the date we checked.
  3. 0.10.1

Your website, ready for the AI age

No web designer, no agency, no WordPress. The home page now says plainly what Curb replaces and what you move to.

    • NewA home section on what you leave behind — the designer, the agency, WordPress — and the AI-ready stack you move to.
    • ImprovedWhy Curb answers what happens to a WordPress site when it moves.
  4. 0.10.0

Curb is for every kind of site

Curb no longer builds only for local service businesses. Startups, agencies, portfolios, nonprofits, publications, events and personal sites are all in — everything except online stores, for now.

    • NewEight use-case pages at /use-cases replace the ten industry pages. Old /industries links redirect to the closest one.
    • ImprovedExample builds now span a SaaS startup, a design studio, a photographer, a nonprofit, a conference, a publication and a personal site alongside the trades.
    • ImprovedPlans are assigned by page count alone: up to ten pages is Standard, more is Pro. Prices are unchanged.
  5. 0.9.0

Industry pages, a real changelog, and the trust center

The marketing site grew up. Ten industry pages written for the trades we actually build for, a changelog you are reading right now, a trust center, and a brand page.

    • NewFree website audit at /audit — paste any address and get back the things that are measurably broken on that homepage, with no email required.
    • NewTen industry pages — roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, dental, med spas, real estate, law and auto repair — each with its own service-area and FAQ structure.
    • NewTrust center covering how customer data is handled, who our subprocessors are, and what we do not do with your information.
    • NewBrand page with the wordmark, palette, type and usage rules.
    • NewBlog, opened with posts on local search, site speed and what a small business site actually needs.
    • NewCustomers page showing example builds across ten verticals.
    • ImprovedRemoved the pages that were not ours to keep: the old product, API and use-case sections are gone and redirect to the pages that replaced them.
    • FixedThe industry and Why Curb pages were referencing 48 CSS classes that did not exist — the hero visual and the pillar graphics rendered unstyled and enormous. Rewrote those visuals around what we sell and gave them real styles.
    • NewSix more posts, one per trade, linked from the matching industry page.
    • FixedRetired two things the site was pretending to have: dead social links and a language switcher that only ever spoke English.
  6. 0.8.0

    Text-to-change goes end to end

The change loop is the product. A text now lands in one queue, gets classified, executed, rebuilt and deployed without a human touching it for routine edits.

    • NewOne inbound queue for text and email, with automatic triage into content change, question, or escalate-to-human.
    • NewRoutine content changes execute, rebuild and deploy on their own, and reply with a link to the live change.
    • ImprovedCancellation signals now bypass automation entirely and go straight to a person.
    • ImprovedMedian time from request to live change is under an hour; the published guarantee stays at 24 hours.
  7. 0.7.0

Static publish pipeline and custom domains

Customer sites no longer render from the app. A publish event builds the site and pushes it to the CDN, so a site stays up even when everything else is down.

    • NewPublish builds each site statically and deploys it to the CDN, isolating every customer site from app downtime.
    • NewCustom domains with automatic SSL issuance and renewal — one CNAME from your DNS and nothing to maintain.
    • ImprovedOld URLs from a migrated site are mapped to permanent redirects so search rankings carry over.
    • FixedEmail hosting on a migrated domain is now verified before any DNS change is made.
  8. 0.6.0

    Nothing ships below the bar

A hard quality gate between generation and launch. If a site does not clear it, it does not go out — it goes back for another pass.

    • NewEvery site must clear 95+ on performance and SEO, zero axe-core accessibility violations, and zero broken links before launch.
    • NewScreenshot review catches visual defects — overflow, bad crops, placeholder text left in — before a human ever sees the site.
    • ImprovedFailed checks now return a defect report to the generation step instead of just failing.
    • ImprovedImage budgets enforced per page, so a fifty-photo gallery still passes Core Web Vitals on a phone.
  9. 0.5.0

    Published pricing, no build fee

Two plans, assigned by the shape of your business rather than by negotiation, and the same price for everyone.

    • NewStandard at $99/month for a single location up to ten pages; Pro at $199/month for multi-location or heavier service-area builds.
    • NewAnnual prepay at $990 and $1,990.
    • ImprovedBuild fee removed entirely — we build the site before you pay, and you decide after you have seen it.
  10. 0.1.0

    First sites built and shipped

The generation pipeline produced its first complete sites end to end: audit the existing site, read the brand, write the content, build, check, deploy.

    • NewAudit engine combining performance, SEO, accessibility and deterministic checks into one record per site.
    • NewBrand reader that derives palette and typography from a business's existing site and photos.
    • NewContent generation for home, services, service-area, about and contact pages with schema markup and sitemaps generated by the template.
