Curb vs Squarespace

Squarespace is good software with handsome templates, at a monthly price close to Curb's. The catch is the same as every builder: after launch, every new page, price and photo is yours to make. For about the same money, Curb moves your existing site across and does that work for you.

Which one is right for you

Where Squarespace is the better pick

  • A few dollars a month less on its Basic plan.
  • Built-in commerce if you want to sell online.
  • You can redesign it yourself, any evening, without asking anyone.

Where Curb is the better pick

  • Changes are made for you: ask Curb's AI or your own, approve the preview, it ships.
  • Full source code export. Squarespace exports only some content, in WordPress format.
  • llms.txt, a facts file and a public MCP server on every site, so AI assistants can read and quote the business.
  • Static pages on a CDN that must clear 95+ on Google's performance and SEO checks before going live.

Moving from Squarespace to Curb

Keep your Squarespace design: the migrate track rebuilds the site as it is — same pages, same look — on Curb's stack.

Every old URL is kept where it can be and 301-redirected where it changes, and titles, descriptions and structured data come across — so search rankings come with you.

Your current site stays live, untouched, until you approve the new one. We check your mail records before anything moves, and the domain cutover takes about ten minutes.

The migrate track carries a one-time fee of $199 on Standard or $399 on Pro, refunded if you are not happy with the move within 14 days.

Questions

Can Curb move my Squarespace site without changing how it looks?

Yes. That is what the migrate track does: same design, same pages, same URLs where they exist, on a faster stack. Or pick the rebuild track and we design you a new one. Either way, nothing goes live until you approve it.

Will I lose my Squarespace store?

Curb does not build online stores. If selling products online is the main job of your site, stay on Squarespace commerce or move to Shopify. If you sell a few things, we can link out to a checkout you already use.

How does Curb's price compare with Squarespace?

Close. Squarespace's Basic plan is $25 a month and Curb is $29. Squarespace's plan pays for the software and the work is yours; Curb's includes $20 of Curb AI edits a month, then unlimited edits with your own AI, with your site kept ready for AI search.
